This Is Your Space to Shine

These resources were created to help girls reflect, express themselves, and build confidence in ways that feel age-appropriate and affirming. Educators and community partners are using them flexibly—during advisory, small groups, journaling time, or informal discussions—to support real conversations and self-discovery.

Confidence Activities

Quick exercises that help you feel good about who you are and remind you that your voice, your ideas, and your magic matter.

Journaling Prompts

Short questions you can answer in your notebook, your phone, or wherever you write your thoughts when the world feels loud.

Affirmations for Real Life

Not cheesy quotes. Real words Black girls can actually connect with.

Creativity Corners

Coloring sheets, drawing prompts, and little challenges that let your imagination breathe.

Leadership Tools

Small things you can do to practice using your voice, setting goals, and being the leader you already are (even if you don’t feel like one yet).

Why This Space Exists
You’re growing up in a world that doesn’t always treat Black girls fairly. Sometimes people make assumptions about you before they even know your name. Sometimes you feel like you have to be perfect just to be seen. Sometimes you feel like you’re too much or not enough.

None of that is the truth. The truth is:

  • You’re smart.
  • You’re creative.
  • You’re strong.
  • You bring something to the world that no one else can.

This Academy is here to help you hold onto that… even when the world gets noisy.
How to Use This Page
Use it whenever you need a boost.
Whenever you need a moment to breathe.
Whenever you want to remind yourself that you’re that girl.

Everything here is meant to help you grow — on your own time, in your own way.
